Cooper S Works Kit Price Announced
The Mini Cooper S is a quick car by any standards, but I always thought it could deal with far more power than the 175bhp offered by the off-the-shelf model.
If you have the patience to wait until September, and then hand over the princely sum of £1095, you can have your Cooper S upgraded to 192bhp, courtesy of the hard working team at JCW.
The kit not only increases the power by 17bhp, but you also get 184lb ft of torque and 199lb ft on overboost (both 7lb ft up from standard).
All this extra power will propel the Works Cooper S from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 144mph.
The impressive figures are achieved with a new sports exhaust, sports air filter and a revised ECU.
As well as the under-bonnet tinkery, JCW will not only put badges on the front and rear of the car, but will also offer cosmetic tweaks like bigger wheels and a sportier bodykit at a modest extra cost.
