The Mini car event at Sandon Hall which took place today (Sunday) was outstanding, with hundreds of Mini's decending on the Hall in Sandon, Stafford from all corners of the county.

With quite literally 100's of Mini's to view, from the Classic Mini to the latest Mini cars it was a very enjoyable event indeed.

As expected, Mini owners are very enthusiastic about their cars, whether it be a Mini Traveller or GP, they loved and polished their cars.

The weather held off for most of the day which allowed the cabriolet owners to display their cars.

This years event was organised by the British Mini Club who were offering (amongst other things) a chance to win a Classic Mini for a £1, I have to take my hat off to these guys for staging such an event, well done to you all. Did I buy the winning ticket - OK perhaps not!

I was able to chat to many enthusiastic Mini owners and was very impressed by the standard of their vehicles, and I need to make a quick mention of a quick-witted Mini owner who asked me if my website was TorqueMini or TalkMini which did actually make me think!!! Pics to follow...

There were just so many high quality and lovingly polished Mini examples on show that it is so difficult to mention them all.

As to the venue itself, Sandon Hall is set in beautifully secluded grounds just off the main A51, with a sweeping drive up to the main entrance and surrounded by 400 acres of glorious parkland. The ideal venue for weddings, private functions and corporate events.

This particular white Mini Cabriolet is up for sale, it's just a shame that we've had such a soggy summer in which to enjoy it, though there is always next year

Have heard on the grapvine that September offers more sunshine than August, though note, I'm not holding my breath!!!
